UC San Diego Tennis Camps
University of California San Diego La Jolla, California
Camps 2009: • Boys & Girls Individual Camps - July 19-August 14 (more information: click here) • Girls Team Camp - August 4-8 (more information: click here)
The tennis camp at UC San Diego will help players understand the fundamentals of tennis: including stroke production, strategy, tactics and conditioning. Head Coach Eric Steidlmayer will direct the camps along with Assistant Coach Timmer Willing. Their coaching staff will consist of members of the men’s and women’s tennis team at UC San Diego. These college players have extensive experience both in the junior circuit as well as in college and are more than capable of demonstrating the skills needed for development.
This camp will also provide the campers with an introduction to strength, agility and speed training appropriate for the camper’s age and ability. Our full training method is fairly unique and our strength and conditioning coach is fantastic. The players will be training their technique in the morning session and be allowed to play matches or situational games in the afternoon. Our camp is designed to quickly build understanding of the game for beginners and also be challenging for experienced tennis players.
To the left of the screen is additional information regarding schedules, facilities, and our coaching staff. If you have any questions that are not addressed in the information on this website, please feel free to use the “Contact Us” webpage to send a message directly to me.
I look forward to seeing you on the courts!
